Turn saved articles into a presentation starting point
A long article can be easier to review one idea at a time. Use Bookmarx to generate a reading deck, then check the source before adapting its ideas for a presentation.
What changes
Before: You bookmark a long article for a meeting, then arrive with an unread link or a handful of quotes whose context you have forgotten.
After: A reading deck helps you follow the argument and find useful points. Your presentation still needs your audience, interpretation, evidence, and review.
A workflow you can repeat
-
Choose a suitable article. Start with a saved X post linking to an accessible article. A short post, unavailable page, or unsupported source may not supply enough material.
-
Generate deliberately. Open the bookmark and request a deck. Generation uses deck credits, so choose an article you intend to read rather than generating every save.
-
Read alongside the source. Check the main argument, figures, quotations, and caveats against the article. Treat the deck as an aid to reading, not an independently verified account.
-
Build your own presentation. Use your usual presentation editor to make the meeting-specific version. Add attribution, your own examples, and the decision you want to discuss.
An example in practice
Illustrative scenario, not a customer result. A founder saves an essay on onboarding, reads its generated deck, and spots one idea worth discussing. Their team presentation adds screenshots of their own product and a proposed experiment, with the essay linked as inspiration.
Check the result
Could a listener distinguish the author’s claim from your recommendation? Are numbers and quotations accurate? Remove claims you cannot trace. Do not assume the generated deck is a finished pitch or a tested business recommendation.
Where this workflow stops
Article-to-deck is a reading format with metered generation. It does not promise a particular slide count, presentation-file format, copyright permission, or access through a publisher’s paywall. Bookmarx works with supported X bookmarks from the point you connect. It does not provide a historical library migration or a general web clipping inbox. Sync and AI actions are subject to your plan and available credits.
Keep the original posts as your reference. AI summaries can miss context or get a detail wrong; use them to decide what to read, then open the source before relying on it.
