Choose an X bookmark export tool for your destination

By BookmarxUpdated

The best export tool is the one that delivers usable data to your destination. A file with the right extension can still be missing the author, thread context, notes, or media you expected.

Start with the destination

For a Notion or spreadsheet workflow, shortlist Dewey and Tweetsmash and inspect their current integration plans. For an existing collection of ordinary web links, Raindrop's export documentation describes its supported formats. Raindrop exporting saved links is not itself proof that it can capture your X bookmark history.

Bookmarx is not an export tool. Choose it separately if you want to read and organize subsequent X saves inside Bookmarx. Do not buy it expecting a downloadable copy of your X library.

Inspect the fields before paying

Make a small sample containing a short post, a thread, a linked article, a post with images, and a save with your own organizational context. Check the original URL, author, text, date, and any notes or folders you need. Open the resulting file or destination database yourself.

An export of URLs is a useful index, but not a durable copy of the underlying content. A backup of text may still omit replies or media. Set your acceptance criteria before comparing plan prices.

Separate capture from export

An app can only write out the material it actually captured. Check whether setup uses the official API, a browser extension, or an existing file, and whether it requires your device to stay open. Do not assume an advertised historical capture claim means deleted or inaccessible posts are recoverable.

A practical decision rule

Choose a one-time workflow for a one-time move, and evaluate ongoing synchronization separately. Confirm the renewal terms and whether the destination stays updated after an introductory period. Keep the original library until you have inspected your results and can locate important sources again.

For hands-on steps, continue to the existing X export guide. This page is about selecting the tool; that guide covers the process. For the broader product shortlist, see X bookmark managers.

How we compared

Bookmarx publishes this guide and is one of the options discussed. This is an editorial comparison of documented capabilities, not a hands-on benchmark or a claim that one app wins for everyone. The linked official pages were checked on October 4, 2026. Features, plan limits, regional prices, and billing terms can change. Check the linked offer before paying.

For Bookmarx, current plans show the live allowances. AI output needs source checking. Bookmarx supports new X saves going forward within those allowances; it does not migrate a historical library or export your library to a file.
