Bookmarx vs Dewey: choose your bookmark workflow
Bookmarx fits a reading routine for new X saves. Dewey is a candidate when social sources and moving saved material into other tools matter more. Neither choice should be reduced to “has AI” versus “does not have AI”: Dewey's current pricing page lists an AI assistant.
Compare the work, not the slogan
| Bookmarx | Dewey | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | New X saves through the official API | Social bookmarks across supported sources |
| Organization | Suggested collections and tags | Folders, tags and AI tagging |
| AI workflow | Summaries, Brainy and reading decks | AI assistant listed; verify the task you need |
| Library export | No | Documented export and integrations; check plan |
| Historical migration into Bookmarx | No | Keep the existing archive separately |
When Dewey fits better
If your workflow depends on an export or a non-X social source, start by checking Dewey's product details and plan matrix. Test the output you actually need. A source being listed does not guarantee that every private, deleted, or inaccessible post can be retrieved.
Dewey is also a reasonable choice to keep if you have already organized a useful library there. The effort of moving folders and source context is part of the decision, even when the new app is attractive.
When Bookmarx fits better
Try Bookmarx if the immediate problem is deciding which new X saves to read and using the ideas afterward. After connection and sync, summaries and tags help triage. Collections gather related saves; Brainy helps explore your synced material. Article-to-deck is a deliberate, credit-metered reading action.
The research workflow illustrates how to use those features without treating an AI answer as evidence. Bookmarx does not replace Dewey's outgoing data workflow.

Prices are pulled live from the Bookmarx billing catalog, in the same currency checkout charges.
Compare the current Bookmarx allowances above with the actual Dewey plan you need, using the same billing period. We do not assume Bookmarx is cheaper. Test connection, mobile reading, retrieval, and source fidelity with a small set of new saves. Keep your old archive: there is no Dewey-to-Bookmarx migration flow.

How we compared
Bookmarx publishes this guide and is one of the options discussed. This is an editorial comparison of documented capabilities, not a hands-on benchmark or a claim that one app wins for everyone. The linked official pages were checked on October 4, 2026. Features, plan limits, regional prices, and billing terms can change. Check the linked offer before paying.
For Bookmarx, current plans show the live allowances. AI output needs source checking. Bookmarx supports new X saves going forward within those allowances; it does not migrate a historical library or export your library to a file.
